I loooove a knit-look hat that’s actually crochet! Until recently I didn’t know how to knit but was obsessed with the achieved ribbing and textures . . . I’ve spent years trying to recreate the look with a good ole crochet hook. I’m proud to say that I’ve had some success (check out my other knit-look crochet designs) and even now that I know how to knit I prefer the speed and simplicity of getting the same look through crochet!
The yarn used for this design was Impeccable® Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads®. This is an old school favourite of mine since it’s available at my local Michaels Store, is very affordable, and comes in a variety of colours. When sauntering through the yarn isles scouting yarn for this piece I immediately fell in love with ‘Green Lagoon’ (a soft mossy colour). I’m also excited to make this beanie in, you guessed it if you follow me, ‘Classic Grey’ and my oldest has requested a black/charcoal one (stay tuned for pictures on social). What colour would you make one in?
Normally I would have a bit more to say but this pattern came together so smoothly that there isn’t much more of note. I hope you enjoy it . . .
