There’s a lot going on around the world . . . a lot of worry and loss. While I need to continue sharing my work to help provide for my family (creating content is my job) it feels silly/wrong/unimportant right now. Who cares about crochet patterns or how-to videos at a time like this? But as I turned to yarn to escape my own worries I realised that many of you do the same and use crafts as a way to relieve stress. Maybe by sharing content I’m actually helping in some small way . . providing something pleasant to focus on when you’re looking for a break from what’s happening around you. With this in mind I’ve decided to continue posting creations in hopes that it’ll bring a little joy from my part of the world to yours. First up is this colouring project for the little loves in your life (many of whom are at home right now).
My daughters love to colour and I’m sure yours do too. My hope with these free colouring pages is that they help bring a little extra happiness into your home during this difficult time. Maybe they make your young yarn lover smile or maybe they just give you an extra 20 minutes of quiet time (perhaps so you can crochet or knit).
These pages were a lot of fun for me to create with the input of my daughters (ages 7 & 9). I drew the “Looping Love” picture as a mother-daughter or grandmother-granddaughter image but when my youngest was colouring she kept referring to it as the “sisters” picture (which made my heart smile . . . she adores her big sis). We came up with the sheep as a simple image for really young kiddos to color but even my oldest enjoyed choosing the colour combinations for the embellishments on each woolly coat.
I’d love to create more colouring pages and even activity sheets if you find these types of downloads helpful and enjoyable for your family! Please tag me in your kiddos art and let me know if you’d like to see more free content like this!
